Although made to look easy, we all soon discovered that making these beautiful paper flowers wasn't quite a walk in the park like we thought it would be. Nevertheless by the end of the session we had some gorgeous creations. If we had a flower for each moment we've shared throughout the year - we would be sure to have a garden!

Terrific Tee's

The Victory Vinnies had great fun painting t.shirts for the refugee preschoolers. The children learned about pests to the garden such as the white butterfly; were fascinated by the scarecrow in the garden that has CDs dangling from it and learned about the important ingredients that their lettuces and sunflowers need in order for them to grow successfully at home. They were able to plant two lettuces - one for their family to enjoy and the other to give away to someone in need in their community. As for their beautiful sunflowers - they know that just like them, they will continue to grow and bloom where they are planted.

Artwork for Stories

The Victory Vinnies and refugee children at the Victory Homework Academy have had great fun producting the illustrations for the children's books that they have been working on throughout the year.
